Free Summer Concerts are on the calendar for various locations and dates:The Merchants Square Concert Series hosts live music of all genres on the first Friday of each month through October 2. Shows begin at 6pm on Duke of Gloucester Street.
New Town Tunes hosts live music each Wednesday at Sullivan Square, 4301 New Town Ave., beginning at 5pm. The series runs through October 14.

The 2026 General Election will be Tuesday, November 3. Virginia allows registered voters to vote 1) in person or 2) absentee by mail. Early in-person voting begins Friday, Sept.18 at the Office of Elections, 4095 Ironbound Rd. The deadline to register to vote or to request an absentee ballot is Friday, Oct. 23 and you may complete the forms online. Absentee ballots may be dropped off at the dedicated drop-off station at the Office of Elections. On the actual Election Day, the polls will be open from 6:00am until 7:00pm. Settlers Mill residents vote at Jamestown High School, 3751 John Tyler Highway. Be sure to check your registration status to confirm your information is up-to-date.
